Building the Heart of Camp Nesher

A New Beit Knesset Dedicated to Honoring Our Past While Shaping Our Future

Camp Nesher has always been more than just a summer camp — it’s a community built upon the philosophies of bein adam l’chavero, treating others with respect, and hakarat hatov, acknowledging acts of kindness. For decades, our Beit Knesset has been the heartbeat of that community, where voices rise in tefillah, friendships are deepened, and Jewish identity is nurtured with meaning. Now, we take the next step in that journey.

Beit Shmariahu will be a dedicated space for tefillah, reflection, and connection. Named in loving memory of Shmariahu Dagan z”l, our new Beit Knesset will give us the opportunity to reimagine the heart of camp — creating an experience that matches the energy, values, and spirit of Camp Nesher.

This new makom tefillah will reflect what makes Camp Nesher so special: a place where Jewish identity is lived with joy, friendships are built on meaning, and connection to Torah and tefillah grows stronger every day. With thoughtful design, improved accessibility, and space to gather, sing, and learn — Beit Shmariahu will be a lasting gift to our entire camp community.
