FAQs

What does a daily schedule look like?

Check out our Day at Camp page to see a sample schedule.

How are campers bunked?

A bunk request form is available online in your camper’s account. Campers are grouped first by common grade and session and then by reciprocal requests. We always do our very best to accommodate at least one request – in the event that we cannot, we will notify you.

Are there choices offered at mealtimes?

Yes. Our Food Mom is on-hand at meals to help campers who might need assistance in finding something to eat. Please see our Nutrition page for further details.

Is Camp Nesher nut-sensitive?

We are a nut-sensitive camp and avoid using peanuts, tree nuts, and the like at all meals. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available for those who require it. If your child has food allergies or intolerances, please contact us to learn about the different options we can provide.

Who makes up your medical staff?

We have a doctor and registered nurses in camp at all times. Our overnight health center is staffed 24 hours a day.

Do you offer Bar Mitzvah lessons or tutoring?

Yes. Please email us with your specific needs and someone will be in touch with you at the start of camp to review details including who will be working with your camper, how often, and the costs involved.

How does laundry work?

Laundry is done once a week at our onsite laundry facility. Please clearly label every item of clothing with your child’s full name.

Do you provide a suggested packing list?

How do campers and luggage get to camp?

Campers come to camp on air-conditioned coach buses escorted by staff members. Details on specific bus locations vary from year to year, depending on camper numbers. Parents may also choose to drive their children and their belongings to Camp.

We encourage families from the TriState, Philadelphia and Florida areas to register with “Camp Trunk Delivery”. Campers who live outside these areas may send their luggage via UPS or Fedex. Luggage is not permitted on Camp busses.

How do I keep in touch with my child once they are at camp?

Emailing campers can be done via our Campanion app starting the first day of camp. Please be sure to address USPS mail to our summer location. Please note that food packages are never allowed. Campers are encouraged to write letters home – please send them with self-addressed stamped envelopes to help with that process.

Where is Camp Nesher located?

Camp is located in the Northeast Pocono Mountains at 90 Woods Road, Lakewood, PA 18439.

Do you provide linens for international campers?

Yes, we provide our international campers with bed linens (sheets, blankets, pillow, pillow case) for use during the summer.
